IT Support for Real Estate & Property Management

Your people work from cars, open houses and tenant units as much as the office. Deals and rents move real money, and tenant applications hold Social Security numbers and bank details. That combination makes real estate a favorite target for fraud. IT support for real estate offices has to keep people connected on the road and stop fraud before money moves.

Technology Visionaries LLC has been helping businesses with their technology since 2007, and we’ve been at 321 Main Street in Woodbridge, NJ since 2015. We’re a managed IT (information technology) services company, which simply means we take care of your computers, network and security on an ongoing basis so you don’t have to think about it.

When something goes wrong, you talk to a person. During business hours, 8 to 5, Monday to Friday, a real person answers the phone. And during those same hours, a person reviews, prioritizes and routes every ticket you send within 12 minutes. That’s a human looking at your problem and getting it to the right person, not an automatic “we got your email” reply. (To be clear, 12 minutes is how fast we look at it and get it moving, not a promise that it’s fixed by then.)

What Real Estate & Property Management Actually Deal With

Wire fraud at closing. Criminals send fake wiring instructions that look like they came from the agent, attorney or title company.

Tenant and applicant data. Applications, leases and background checks hold personal information that has to be protected.

Agents on their own devices. Agents often use personal phones and laptops, and some are independent contractors.

Lots of software. Listing systems, e-signature, property management platforms and accounting all need logins and care.

People coming and going. Agents and staff join and leave, and their access has to follow.

How We Help

We keep your team connected. Ongoing care for computers, network and email, with a real person to call.

We help stop wire fraud. Email protection, MFA and a simple call-back process for any payment instructions, plus training so everyone follows it.

We help protect tenant and client data. Encryption, sensible file access and safe handling of applications.

We make mobile work safer. Protections for phones and laptops, including the ones agents bring themselves.

We handle the comings and goings. A clean checklist for adding and removing people.

Compliance Notes

This section is a plain English overview to help you understand what the rules ask for. It isn’t legal advice. For questions about what applies to your business, talk with your attorney. Our role is to help you meet these requirements on the technology side and document the work. The responsibility for your program stays with your business, and we don’t promise or guarantee compliance.

Wire fraud and business email compromise

This isn’t a regulation, but it’s the risk we hear about most. The FBI calls it business email compromise: a criminal gets into, or imitates, an email account and sends convincing payment instructions. The FBI asks victims to report it right away at ic3.gov (the Internet Crime Complaint Center) and to contact their bank to try to stop the transfer. The simplest protection is a habit: confirm any new or changed payment instructions with a phone call to a number you already have, never one from the email.

New Jersey’s data breach law (N.J.S.A. 56:8-161 to 56:8-166)

New Jersey’s Identity Theft Prevention Act covers any business that does business in New Jersey, and any public entity, that keeps computerized records with personal information. If there’s a breach of New Jersey residents’ personal information, you have to tell the affected people in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay. Before you tell them, the law says you must report the breach to the New Jersey State Police. The State Police and the NJCCIC (New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell) provide an online form for that report. If you decide misuse of the information isn’t reasonably possible, the law says to document that decision in writing and keep it for five years.

The FTC’s guidance for every business

Even when no industry-specific rule applies, the FTC’s Protecting Personal Information guide lays out practical steps any business can take: know what personal information you have, keep only what you need, protect it, properly dispose of what you no longer need, and plan ahead for a breach.

Frequently Asked Questions

No one can honestly promise that, and we won't. New Jersey law puts the responsibility on your business. What we can do is help you put the technical safeguards in place, like MFA, encryption and backups, and help you document how your systems are set up so your written records match reality. For the legal side, talk with your attorney.

No tool catches everything, so we focus on habits plus technology. MFA and email protection make it harder for criminals to get in. A firm rule that payment instructions are always confirmed by phone, using a number you already have, catches what slips through.

Yes. We can help you set sensible rules for what agents need to access company systems safely.

Call us. During business hours, 8 to 5, Monday to Friday, a real person picks up, and every ticket is reviewed, prioritized and routed by a person within 12 minutes. That's how fast we start on it, not a promise of how fast it gets fixed, but you won't be sitting in a queue wondering if anyone saw it.

Usually not. Most offices already have the right tools. What's often missing is setting them up properly, turning on protections like MFA and writing down how it all works.

Let's make sure the money goes where it's supposed to.
